THIS IS A TEST  Just tried calling you again for the umpteenth time Freddie. Got the same old recording saying, and I quote, "I'm sorry but the person you are trying to reach has a mailbox that has not been set up yet. Please try again later. Goodbye." Is this a test too ??? I won't...

"Just Other Stuff"

Mr. Fetner, Why is the "Just Other Stuff" site, on the list of topics of which to post, just mysteriously disappearing whenever someone tries to post on it ??? Seems no one other than you and David are able to post anything. This is nothing new. It's happened so many times in the past. Som...

Re: 2016 GENERAL ELECTION

The 2016 general election marks twice in the last five elections that the democratic party had been cheated out of the presidency by the Electoral College. In the 2000 election Bush #2 received approximately 500,000 fewer popular votes than Gore. And in the most recent election Trump received about...

I remember when the Dinette used to be the "Pink Platter." Cherry Cokes. Cokes with cherry syrup from the fountain. Way before 1966. Around 1957.

That's good Freddie. The disabled and our vets should have a special place in the festival. I saw in the paper where they were bragging on how well organized it was. Quite to the contrary. Pathetic how the organizers overlooked you guys. Wish you the best brother !!!

A clue. There are several species of rattlesnakes but only one is prominent around the Hamlet area. And it isn't the Diamondback. Bruce Osborne should certainly know the answer to this one !!!

The trivia question for today is: What can be found around Hamlet that can be milked? It's not a cow, goat or any kind of animal or flower. The answer, when answered, must be specific as to what species. Good Luck !!!

How about something to do with hand-cars before they became motorized, sort of like the ones we used to see Charlie Chaplin hand pumping to get out of the way of a runaway engine? "Crank Hand"

If someone used the words "Crank Hand," who or what were they referring to? This term was widely used around Hamlet. And it wasn't a drug user as the word "crank" is sometimes referred to.
