Re: Grady Steen

Lynn, I have some very fond memories of Wayne. He was a sweet, sexy, good looking and interesting guy. I met him in my freshman year at Hamlet High. My best friend and I both had a crush on him. We had never met anyone quite like Grady Wayne Steen.

Re: SEABOARD FESTIVAL & CAR SHOW

Thanks Bill for all the great pictures of the festival and reunion. I was hoping someone would post photographs for those of us who weren't there. These are great! Hope I'll be at the festival next year!

Oh my, what an eye opener. It's a selfish world in which we live. The 'Land of Milk and Honey' is aptly named to show the contrast between the have and the have nots. Looking forward to viewing Bill Moyers report. Congratulations and thanks for sharing with us.

Interesting story Jean, I enjoyed reading it. Reminded me of Skeeter in "The Help". I've seen the movie, now reading the book. You should write a novel, bet you have one in mind!

I have wonderful memories of Buttercup Ice Cream. My Dad, Frank Warlick, worked there from 1945 until 1975. He was at first assistant, then plant manager until he retired. I remember going with him after hours, and on Sundays when he would check on the plant, sometimes he fixed an ammonia leak, repa...

I have no idea who any of these girls are, younger than me, I know. However, I have a question, does any one know the year this picture was taken? My granddaughter ask the other day how I dressed for school. This is a lovely example!

Having read the newspaper acounts of the event and even if only some of these facts are true, I believe there is reasonable doubt that he is even guilty. The eyewitness description of Wetzel was terribly flawed. Keeping a 89 year old man, with Alzheimers, in prison is cruel and unusual punishment, i...

Thanks for postng these pictures. My dad worked at Buttercup as assistant, then plant manager from 1945 until 1975. Both my brothers worked there during their high school years. That 1957 Chevy parked in front of the plant was my dads. I've never tasted ice cream as fresh and good as Buttercups. Tha...

Thanks for sharing. I enjoy seeing names of old friends. I was 13 when this directory was published. Good times. Also thanks for all your hard work on OurHamlet web site. I appreciate it.
