His name is John Fletcher Russell. He was the flagman on this trip when the picture was made.

So far there have been no solid clues. However, Garland Stutts, retired engineer from Hamlet thinks it may be John McCormick from the Lilesville/Wadesboro area.

Does anyone know the name of this railroad man? Was he from Hamlet? This picture was made inside of a caboose on 12-28-52.
