Re: graduated from HHS X 2 & attended 3 jr-sr.
She graduated once, thus attending a Jr. Sr. her Junior and Senior year which would be twice. Then after graduating, an error was found that she needed more hours to graduate. So she attended the Jr. Sr. for the 3rd time and graduated twice. Or your Aunt told you this and you believed it.

Re: Frank Wetzel, 90, N.C.'s oldest prisoner, dies
NC Highway Patrol Troopers W. L. Reece and J. T. Brown names are engraved in granite at the memorial on the grounds of the HP campus located on Old Garner Road south of Raleigh, NC. Ronnie and Donnie had lunch on campus today and paid our respects to these two men who lost their lives as troopers in...

Re: The Old Red Caboose
So far there have been no solid clues. However, Garland Stutts, retired engineer from Hamlet thinks it may
be John McCormick from the Lilesville/Wadesboro area.

The Old Red Caboose
Does anyone know the name of this railroad man? Was he from Hamlet? This picture was made inside of a caboose on 12-28-52.

Re: Fairgrounds???
Steve Meacham (SM), Ricky Carnes (RC), Ellis Atkinson (EA), and Johnny Robbins (JR) from the class of '66 were watching the chimp box at the Fairgrounds probably fall 1964 or spring 1965. SM said the chimp was as big as a man which some called a gorilla. Not sure which creature it was but according ...

Re: Grady Steen
The Steen brothers were tuff. One cold Friday HHS football game, Ronnie and I (9th or 10th grade) had just entered the admission entrance at the tennis courts and walked pass the concession stand behind the Hamlet bleachers to the far end. It was here that we saw a "fight" about to take pl...

School let out right after lunch the day of Hurrican Hazel. I remember mother picking us up in the '48 Chev. Fleetline. The windshield wipers could not go fast enough....from our kitchen window, we could see your house. Minus a few pinetree limbs and a few dogwood branches, the TV antenna bent over ...

First Picture-holding hands?
This sure looks like John Swain and Sarah Brooks Joyner. John has his white London Fog over his shoulder. Believe it was monogramed in navy blue "Old English". Probably bought it from Bryson's or Long's or RW Goodman's Clothing.
