My Mom worked up there with the telephone company during WWII while my Dad was away. We drove through there several times in the early 50's, but I don't remember much except for seeing deer which was an oddity!

Curious where you are entering Seqouia? My brother in law has a little vacation retreat on the Tule River in Springville. We have bèen up to Trail of Giants and Dome Rock.

I've never seen a squirrel get into our feeder until this afternoon...Never and that thing is at least 25 years old, maybe older. But, I removed him from the gene pool with my pellet rifle a few minutes later~

I think it was the first race at "the Rock" and John Sears was the local running in his first big time race..Curtis Turner put him in the wall inTurn 1 of the first lap! I told that story to a fellow named Yarborough from Sardis,SC who was a client of mine for a long time several years ago...
