About the Hamlet Water Rates, in 1950, when we moved from School St. in E.Rockingham to Longwood Park our water bill was $2.00 a month for the longest time The Office was on Front St. next to the Ball Room now Who knew that the Ball Room building once was the 4th. As you go into Mary Love the Main Gate, to the Right is the Freeman section, Robert Brown, and his Mother are there, she was a Freeman. the man who gave the Land for Mary Love was a FreemanI'm thinking I read that here on Our Hamlet.

In the Basement of the old Library, they would have Birthday parties etc. :roll: and when they build the new part they took up that part of Minture Ave. that ran beside it from Rice St to Main St.

Malcolm, you remember those stores right behind the Puritythat had small windows sidewalk tall that you could look in. they had booths like you find in Diners, maybe they were a Café, Grill, Diner, etc. :?:

lYNN the Diner you mentioned was called by those names, the last one there was George Little, called George's Diner, who moved and opened The Little Bo Club in one of the Old Cabins at Ledbetter Lake
