I concur with that Freddie. I just had my lakes messed up. Been quite a while since I've cruised them roads. When they got bumpy there was a sweet spot you could hit and the bumps would smooth out. It was right on the edge of disaster, but it was lots of fun.

Pretty sure you had to take a right off of Boyd Lake Road where it changed to dirt and go for a little ways and the lake was on the right. It was sad when the next generation started making it their dump, sad.

I remember it back then when the feed and seed place was right beside it too. I don't remember how old I was but I think my uncle, Mike Campbell took me in there a couple of times. I remember also when it was probably the only pool room with no pool tables.

Yepper, I remember that place well. Lived right across the street from it in that duplex for awhile. Was playing kick ball there one weekend and my shoe flew off my footie and went through the Principal's office window. Mama had to call him to open up so I could get my shoe and fess up.

I remember quite a few of them folks. Mr Carnes loved the Miller beers, but only on the weekend. I think he really got Sidney Hodges in going heavy into weight lifting. I remember them doing peanut oil shots at the Hub and it went right out the other end and left a greasy spot.
