I went several times myself, but he was in a glass case when I saw him last, but was probably back in the late 70's.

Visited htis building many times.....not the jail though. My mother worked there for many years with Puddin Keziah, Laura Gunter and others.

Really interesting reading what you all have posted on this subject. So much I had not heard even though so many in my family worked for the Seaboard. Sure do remember. Cannot remember the nice white head gentleman who ran it when I was a kid. Those photos sure bring back great memories. I lived on Jefferson St. and we sure loved sledding with everyone. Still have my old sled from those days but would be afraid after 40 years to use it again
