I was there eveyday 7am until dark from age9-18 had season tickets ever year until I was the Lifeguard, got in free then and got paid, with all my earning going to the Concession Stand ran by Paul Boyd*RIP) Paul taught me and my brother Robbie(RIP) how to swim :D [/b]

I was in the USAF stationed at Osan AB during the Ice Strom, but read about it in our local papers and letters from home. My youngest daughter Lisa was born Jan30,1969 and was at her Grandmothers house , no power they kept the house warm with the fireplace and warmed her baby milk there too

Sigmore that's the way you go to Crawford's Lake. Back in the later part of the 1990's NO SWIMMING sign's posted at all Lakes in the Sandhill Gameland's because of the way people trashed them up[/b]

The best way to get to Gum Swamp Lake is get on Boyd Lake Rd and keep on going Straight until you see a Lake on the Left :roll:

As you go into Mary Love the Main Gate, to the Right is the Freeman section, Robert Brown, and his Mother are there, she was a Freeman. the man who gave the Land for Mary Love was a FreemanI'm thinking I read that here on Our Hamlet.

In the Basement of the old Library, they would have Birthday parties etc. :roll: and when they build the new part they took up that part of Minture Ave. that ran beside it from Rice St to Main St.

lYNN the Diner you mentioned was called by those names, the last one there was George Little, called George's Diner, who moved and opened The Little Bo Club in one of the Old Cabins at Ledbetter Lake

Wayne and before the fire some piggy back's derailed and tore it down I went down with the wreaker there was a water line broke and spraying water everywhere making it hard for Brad to get the piggy back's back up on the rail
