Building Permits for Earl Bradshaw his Store on King St , which in 1946 was also Hwy77 later on after1950 was renamed Hwy 177 sure do miss those Snowballs after Football Practice or a 16oz. RC Cola

When I lived in Longwood Park the city didn't pick up our Garbage, we burned it a 55gal drum and a Mr. Poston from the 5Point's area in Rockingham, would come by and dump the burnt garbage in his flatbed truck with rails high enough to keep it all in, can't remember the cost, but it was less than$5...

The Wootons lived on Paige St. in Longwood Park when we lived there John, and Porshe both were clerk's on the Railroad and George who was drafted by the NY Jet's, got hurt the first week of tryout's and a man by the name of Joe Namath took his place at QB and we all know the rest of that story

I ate there many times during the early 60's and danced in the Dance Hall in the Basement called Bobby's Canteen at night they always had a small band that played the top hits you had to have a membership card and pay a .50cent cover charge. Great times had by the Teens from Hamlet and Rockingham
