Anyone old enough to remember which building on Main St. that the number Please was located?I paid our Phone bill there in the ealy50's because my Mom worked 3rd. at Safie Mill and had to sleep in the morning

The telephone switchboard was on the 2nd floor of the Belk's on Main Street next to the Central Hotel. The building
was demolished about 2000.

you are right Terri, my childhood friend Patrick "Skipper'' Allen(RIP) lived at Sunset Beach for 40 years or more and told me that once when I went for a visit
