Hamlet Avenue, 1920s (updated)

From the North Carolina Collection at Wilson Library, UNC.
-- In August of 1920 the three story building on the right was the last building in the block nearest the photographer. The second floor of that building housed the Railroad offices and there was some sort of "hall" on the third floor.
-- The corner office of the building on the left nearest the photographer was a bank at that time. Beyond the bank building in this photo is an alley and then another building. In August of 1920 there was a house there, not a storefront.
