and his furniture store was on Hamlet Ave with the Neon Sign of a Rockingchair that Rocked. :D

Good memory Freddie. Yepper, will always remember that rocker sign. The pointing pig at Revels was a goodun too.

It would be nice to find a picture of that sign. In all my digging I have found very few pictures of Hamlet Ave. The other side of town then and now.

I don't think Hamlet was even selling liquor in 51 were they? I remember when the ABC opened on Main Street on the west side of the tracks. Used to get one of them cab drivers to get us younger folk adult beverages. I think me and Terry Duncan floated a boat drinking that R & R Bourbon. Rest & Relaxation.
