One of the things that turned up in great abundance when the foundation was dug for the Seaboard depot's new location were liquor bottles -- many of them from Lackey's distillery -- that were from the lineup of bars along the railroad right of way. The bars thrived because of the large number of railroad passengers who had time between connecting trains, but they had a steady local clientele, too.
