I think this is a list from 1955 but not positive.
Richmond County Country Club
Re: Richmond County Country Club
I know my Dad, Dr. Giles L. Cloninger, Jr., was a member from the day he joined until the day he died. He moved to Hamlet in 1955 when I was 1 year old. He joined when we were 3 kids in Kindergarten and went to Fairview Heights School. I believe H. W. Gulledge showed him our home on 301 Dogwood Lane, Hamlet, where we lived until both of our parents died. He was the Junior Club Champion until he reached age 65 and was then the Senior Club Champion. Even after getting Alzheimer's Disease, he would have an aide drive him to the course and he still played. Couldn't remember our names, but could still remember how to play golf. This list shows Richmond County Country Club. Since it was a private club, the name was later changed to Richmond Pines Country Club. Peace.
Giles L Cloninger III
