I keep telling people that my memory is very well preserved and this is another example...I remember the morning I read this first release of batting statistics. Without even seeing this, I could remember Roper was hitting .714 and wondering, "does he ever walk"? The Cubs were probably getting a lot more at bats that the Crazy Cards were..
