Does anyone knows who the Herndon that owned the Hub? The first owner that I knew of was Bobby Quinn.

Fishbone, I don't think there is a person in Hamlet could tell you unless Earl Bradshaw can, we are just to young to known anyone before Mr. Quinn

The Hub Grill and Sarge's were the go joint to drink beer, eat and cry over the juke box. I remember when the Hub Grill got in a juke box that showed a film of girls dancing to the music. I think the "Hanky Panky" song was the favorite one for awhile.

You gotta' love that ad copy: "Will be operated in a high class manner". Does that mean coat and tie for men and high heels for the ladies? Or does it mean all the teen aged drunks will be hidden from sight out behind the last group of cars parked near the bushes?

I would have absolutely gone to that establishment after an ad like that.
