This is a three part, three answer Trivia on the Town of Hamlet:

(!) The Hamlet Passenger Station has the distinction of being the most "what" in the Eastern U.S.?

(2) What was the small "hamlet's" name before it was founded and changed to Hamlet in the late 1800's?

(3) To commerate the naming of Hamlet, what type of tree did the founding fathers plant?

(2) The area known as Sandhills was known in 1872
as Shorteidge Mills and in 1873 named Hamlet.

Congratulations Malcolm. You are correct on 2 of your 2 answers. But you didn't answer the one concerning the depot.

And t12, your answer "HUB" is wrong. Think real hard and try again.

And congratulations to you Lynn. "Photographed" is correct.

And by the way, I liked the other color much better than the one they're painting it now. The other one was beautiful but the new one just doesn't appeal to me. Why fix something that ain't broke? Then on the other hand I'm sure there are those that feel the new color looks better. You know the old saying about opinions.
