Thanks. The weather on July 4 at Lassen was about 20 degrees warmer than on the day two weeks before when Emily and I did our climb. And that means that in the town of Redding about 50 miles away where we spent the night, it was 20 degrees warmer on the Fourth as well, about 106 degrees. We are planning a vacation in August where we will be hiking a series a volcanoes and national parks from California to Washington State.
