Mr. McGirt is truly one of the finest men to ever call Hamlet home. As teenagers, many of us boys would awaken him and his family @ 5 a.m. to buy a $1.00 worth of bait from his bait farm located at his house. I'm talking week-ends, holidays, Sundays---he never complained and always had a good story about someone in your family and kind words to share. He would go the extra mile giving you a baker's dozen minows and check the worm box before you left to make sure you got more than your money's worth. His love for his family, church and community is a standard from which we could all benefit by making it our own.

Concur 100% Veep. Went there many times when I lived on Boyd Lake Road to get worms for fish slaying in the pond at our house. I remember Nancy helping out a time or two.
