It does not always rain there. My bro in law just brought the boat back from Santa Cruz to Pillar Point this past week.. But there is most certinly a "rainey season"

Wayne, as you noted, there is a rainy season here -- October through April -- but that doesn't mean it gets very wet, only that that's the only time of year when the little rain we do get can fall. I can't remember the last time it rained here in summer.

San Jose's average rainfall is about about 14.5 inches a year, roughly a fourth of what Hamlet gets. Last year we got about 7 inches.
