General things going on in Hamlet

Thanks to "Friends of Hamlet" members Oscar Sellers, Robin Wise, and David McCall for helping me with the trimming of the Hamlet scrubs on Front St. Thanks for your Hometown spirit!!
those of you who don't know Fred Case planted those shrubs, when he worked for the Seaboard AirLineRailroad as a Yard Conductor. I helped him trim them in the early '50's
It's a crying shame that the town will not keep them looking good. I guess they are content with someone else always handling things instead of arguing over who should do it.
I had forgotten that those shrubs spelling HAMLET were even there. Great community spirit and individual effort to keep them pruned. Does the town council, or whatever it is called, not care at all? It is really an historic town with the Seaboard connection but driving through one would never know there was or is anything there unless you happen to see the depot and it's associated museum. Great job there.
