WILLIAM HERBERT CREECH JR. died in 2008 at the age of 91.

WILLIAM H. CREECH, JR. (Age 91) On May 4, 2008 William H. Creech, Jr. of Woodbridge, VA at Bettys Place Assisted Living in Manassas. He was born January 15, 1917 in Wilmington, N.C. where he graduated from Hamlet High School in 1936 after lettering in baseball and football. He was a champion sportsman in spite of only having one arm since the age of 22 months. Mr. Creech was an archives technician with the National Archives and Records Administration for 36 years before retiring in 1979. For 51 years he was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Woodbridge where he taught Sunday School and served by served as a Deacon. In addition to being survived by his brother, David Edward, Mr. Creech is survived by his wife of 59 years, Velva Dean, his two sons, Bill and Carlton of Woodbridge, and one daughter, Velva Jo of Fredericksburg. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Connie Jo, Jennifer, Misty, and Charlea, and five great-grandchildren, Lauren, Logan, Caden, Seth, and Josie.
