"Milking"
"Milking"
The trivia question for today is: What can be found around Hamlet that can be milked? It's not a cow, goat or any kind of animal or flower. The answer, when answered, must be specific as to what species. Good Luck !!!
Re: "Milking"
I would guess the gubmint by huminoids of the A.A.species.

Since N.C. carries the name of "Tar Heel State", is the collection of pine sap still practiced? Could that be called "milking the pines"?

Might be Bruce, but that's not what I'm looking for. The answer will be in some type of life form with a brain.

Re: "Milking"
Well, OK. How about milking fish in a hatchery? You know, squeezing female fish that are heavy with roe to forcible extract the eggs for artificial insemination and then allowing the eggs to mature and hatch to be introduced into local streams. And isn't there a state fish hatchery near Hamlet?

Re: "Milking"
Here at Panama City Beach we had a snake show and I saw them milk rattlesnakes. I think they Diamond Back Rattlesnakes
Re: "Milking"
I'm well familiar with the Eastern Diamondbacks . But that's not the species I'm looking for. Diamondbacks aren't native to the Hamlet area but there are plenty of the species which I am looking for.Betty Freeman Farrell wrote:Here at Panama City Beach we had a snake show and I saw them milk rattlesnakes. I'm gonna make two guesses. Cotton Mouth Water Moccasin or the ever popular, Copper Head. Did I win something??
Re: "Milking"
Nope sig. We're talkin rattlers here !!!sigmore wrote:I'm gonna make two guesses. Cotton Mouth Water Moccasin or the ever popular, Copper Head. Did I win something??
Re: "Milking"
A clue. There are several species of rattlesnakes but only one is prominent around the Hamlet area. And it isn't the Diamondback. Bruce Osborne should certainly know the answer to this one !!!
