the first Revel's on hyw74 had a Dumb Waiter, the kitchen was in the basement, and when an order was ready they pulled up the Waiter by a rope

Inflation must have driven Yancy's prices up because when we moved there in 1948 the price was 25¢ and along about 1951 or so they shot up to 35¢... and with hand-squeeze clippers to boot! OUCH!

in the 50's cost .50cent and next door was Pence Shoe repair shop Mr. Pence and Family lived in Longwood Park
