Is this Bradshaws that we enjoyed back in the 60's? Lawsly, I didn't think it looked like this back then..remember when Mr.Bradshaw would hide students when Prong would come looking for them? I got a lot of good snowballs from here. :o)

Actually this is the "new" Bradshaw's in the late '60s and early '70s. You can see the lighted menus over the counter through the windows.

Before it became a hamburger joint, Bradshaw's was a tiny grocery, but Mr. Bradshaw followed what his customers -- mostly school kids from across the street -- wanted and moved more toward serving food and drinks himself.

School kids had no use for a loaf of bread. Snowballs and 16-ounce Pepsis were big sellers from the grocery, especially on hot days after baseball or football practice.

And let's not forget who invented the Sausage Dog. Deep fried with mustard, onions, and chile, yum, yum! I always got the 5 cent coke and the 5 cent 4 corner nabs for waiting on bus 69 for my trip home on Boyd Lake Road.
