Austin Dillehay. I don't know if I'm spelling his last name correctly, but he lived a block behind my house.

The blue & white International Scout (2nd vehicle from left) belonged to Austin Dillehay. He and his wife who owned Austin's Auto repair still live on Stacy St. The city of Hamlet purchased to property from the Dillehay's to build the new City Hall and Austin closed his business and retired.

Austin was a very good mechanic and a super nice guy as well. He even kept the Hamlet Police force rolling. He had a helper named Richard ? that had a noticeable limp but did a great job also. Knew his family and they were all great people. Hope he's enjoying his retirement , he turned many wrenches in his career!
