I am sure there are many, many people who have a better looking book (issue) than this one.  This is a cookbook that was loved and used a lot.

Somewhere through the years Mom tried to hold it together with duct tape (God Bless the person who invented duct tape). 

This is the Hamlet Junior Woman's Club cookbook circa 1951 or so.  It is a 150 page collection of wonderful recipes submitted by club members.   There are so many recognizable family names.

We had other cookbooks but this was always mine and Gwen's favorite when we would make cookies, fudge or something else delicious.

You know we actually had to make our own snacks WAY BACK THEN.
